The Role:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Catering Manager to join a leading independent school in Somerset and oversee the in-house Catering & Hospitality function.
The role involves managing a large team in a diverse catering department. The Catering & Hospitality Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards in both front and back of house operations, managing a budget exceeding £1 million, and providing healthy and nutritious menus that meet the expectations of students and staff. The position requires delivering meals three times a day, seven days a week, and providing commercial hospitality catering when needed, serving approximately 700 people daily (including 180 boarders).
The Candidate:
We are seeking Catering Managers with experience in handling high volume operations and managing large teams. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in contract catering or school environments, with a proven track record of achieving results.
Our client specifically requires candidates with the following qualifications:
- NVQ level 4 or equivalent in Hotel and Catering, Hospitality Management
- Recognized level 3 and above management qualification
- Recognized level 3 and above food safety qualification
- City & Guild 706 1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in catering skills
