General Manager – Premium Food-Led Hospitality Business

TTW Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established and highly regarded food-led hospitality business in Somerset that is looking to appoint an experienced General Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a busy and successful operation encompassing a bakery, deli, coffee shop and retail offering. The business has built an excellent reputation for quality and attracts a loyal customer base seeking exceptional products and service standards.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a genuine passion for hospitality, food and customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a large front-of-house team whilst ensuring the business continues to deliver outstanding service at every touchpoint.
This role would particularly suit someone from a quality-driven environment, ideally with experience gained within Michelin Guide, Bib Gourmand, premium café, bakery or restaurant operations where guest experience and attention to detail are paramount.
The Role
- Lead and inspire the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Drive a positive and engaging team culture
- Recruit, train and develop team members to maximise performance
- Ensure consistently high operational and service standards
- Manage a busy, high-volume trading environment
- Work closely with senior management to achieve commercial objectives
- Drive sales through effective customer engagement and menu knowledge
- Encourage and develop upselling techniques across the team
- Monitor performance, productivity and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
About You
- Current General Manager, Operations Manager within a quality hospitality environment
- Experience managing busy, high-volume operations
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and retain teams
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Commercially aware with a track record of driving sales and profitability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A natural leader who enjoys being visible on the floor and leading by example
